What You Talking About?

After I finish taking a shower in the morning, I look at myself in the mirror and I begin to speak the promises of God over my life. I declare that I am the head and not the tail, I am the lender and not the borrow, I'll never be broke another day in my life, and most importantly I am a royal priesthood, a chosen generation and a peculiar person. While this may seem like a normal routine, I make an intentional effort to do it daily to change my way of thinking.

I have become very conscious of the words that i speak over my life, for "life and death are in the power of the tongue" Proverbs 18:21. In order to change the way you think you have to talk to yourself on a daily basis. While talking to oneself may be viewed as irrational it is necessary to change the way we think. Our minds our programmed off of what we see. Thus what we see becomes reality in our mind. However if we are ever going to possess what God has promised us by faith, then it is not going to happen by what we see, but by what we speak out of our mouths. The Apostle Paul writes to the Roman Church in Romans 4:17 to speak those things that be not as though they were. Paul imparts a revelation that confession brings about possession.

Speaking positive over your life may not change your situation immediately, but the more you continue to speak positive, it will eventually over time change the way your mind thinks regardless of what you see. Anything you do for thirty days becomes a habit. Start your morning off by saying something positive over your life. Speak by the faith the promises of God, regardless of what you see, and watch your life turn around for the better. Remove yourself from those who continue to speak negative, so that their thoughts don't become your thoughts. Instead surround yourself with those that speak positive. Speak the word and watch it manifest in your life. Remember you have what you say.
